My 1st labour total time was 6h 40 mins, 2nd one (yesterday :)) 1h 48 mins.

2nd stage in 1st labour was 1h 40 mins, in 2nd labour only 15 mins!

Are your children’s vaccines up to date?

Congratulations!! :)

Did you have a boy or a girl? How are you feeling?

(My 1st labour was 46 hours and my 2nd was 43 hours.)

Congratulations Sandra, I will know soon as due any day now with DD2.

With DD1 I had a 6 and a half hour 1st stage, pushed for half hour, but she was stuck so had EMCS.

My mum had a 7 hour 1st stage and half hour 2nd stage with me.

With my brother stage 1 was less than an hour, she was holding him in in the hospital lift on the way to delivery, two pushes and he was out!

Wolfiefan · 17/02/2012 20:30

2nd labour 59 minutes (delayed because I was told not to push in the lift and then had to move to another bed for delivery!)
Huge congrats. How do you feel? I was a bit shocked after mine.

Sandra2011 · 17/02/2012 20:41

I had a little boy 3.3 kg at 37+6.

He came out with such a rush so I needed quite a few stitches but it was all worth it.

1st stage was about 4 hours
2nd stage 23mins
3rd stage 22mins

I went to "birth-after thoughts" and MW said that looking at my notes, she's written down on my notes 2 hours, not 4. as I think it was noted down a bit wrong for the active labour or something she said? :s

I literally wanted to push right away, and it did feel a lot fast than this.
got to hospital at 6:30ish and she was born at 8:33.

I am nearly 27 weeks, and do wonder how this time will go...

I would like another straight-forward wuick labour, but as you said OP sometimes even though fast is good, sometimes your body goes into shock

I had stitches, nothing too bad though and then pph of 1000mls 2hrs after :(

but i felt fine!

It wasn't too bad Littlemissnormal. I just didn't make it to hospital. I had him at home but the paramedics arrived in 10 minutes and were amazing. :)
