I had my lovely baby girl 14 days ago - suffered a 3rd deg tear and lost nearly 3 Ltrs blood. My loggia is still bright red and I'm wondering if I should be worried (I've read it should be turning pink or brown by now).

Also it really stings to poo :( now that my diarrea is easing.

My blood loss is still red but is alot less then in the first few days and my DS2 is 15 days so as long as your blood loss is minimal now i would say this was normal. (Im sure i was still lossing blood at 3 weeks with DS1)

With the stinging poos it may be possible you have a anal fissure. (I had this after a 3rd degree tear with DS1) the answer for me was taking something to soften my poo for abit longer giving the fissure time to heal itself. I would go to your GP but in the mean time eat lots of fibre.

Are you taking senokot and lactulose? I took them for about 3 weeks after, then weaned myself off once I felt the rawness of the pain was over.
My lochia continued like that and I had to have some antibiotics. Some placenta had been left in. Have you any tummy pains or fever? If so, go to the dr.
