Water birth at King's

Hello lovely ladies!
Has any one had a water birth at King's? I'll be 38 weeks tomorrow and have been really thinking about it lately. I haven't been able to go to the water birth talk at the hospital... Do you think that that will work against me?
Do I have to call the labour ward before I go in and ask for it?

Are your children’s vaccines up to date?

It all depends if one of the rooms with a pool is free when you go in. I'm sure they'll do their best to accommodate you. I think there are 2 rooms with fixed pools and they also have three collapsible ones so you have a fair chance (although they can get incredibly busy - I was there one night with women in labour still waiting at the reception to be let in!). There's no harm in giving them a call or putting it on your birth plan.

Thanks! I talked to the midwife today and she said to ask for the pool when I call the labour ward. I wish that we could pick midwives, I really really liked this one :)
