When will my linea nigra fade?

My DD is now 9 weeks old and my belly is smaller than it was, just very saggy with lots of excess skin but my linea nigra is still as dark as ever and my belly button is dark too (and very deep!). Any idea when this will start to disappear?

I'm off to Australia in six weeks though! I guess I'll just have to wear it with pride!

I'm jealous, because I haven't got one, or not yet - am almost 33 weeks, and everyone else at my pregnancy yoga class has one. I think they're pretty cool. Have fun in Australia.

Mine took much longer to fade than it did to appear. Wear it with pride!

At 12 weeks mine has pretty much gone. The brown skin in my belly button went all dry a few weeks ago, and I was able to scratch it off with my fingernail in the bath.

Hardcheese mine didn't appear until the last few weeks of pregnancy either. You may get yours soon!

I was quite late in pregnancy before it appeared I think. I'll see how it looks the week before we leave and either display it proudly or invest in a couple of good tankinis!

I'm 37+4 and don't have one. I wonder why some people get it and others don't, I guess it must also run in the family because, neither my sister or mum had them.

Another jealous one here - 39 wks and not a sign. DH keeps on asking when it's going to appear. All I have is a very hairy tummy, like a bear

Not sure what state my tummy will be in by then but I'm starting the shred this week!
