Waters didn't break with DC1...will same happen this time?

I had to have my waters broken at 8cm with DS1 as midwife said it was starting to hinder labour progress. I'm now pregnant agin and starting to think over irst birth...is it likely I'll have to have them broken again?

My waters didn't break until I was almost pushing with DS2, with DS1 they broke before I went into labour, waiting to have DS3, wond what will happen this time! :)

mine didnt break for my previous 2, and like minnie i was literally pushing and thats when they broke. I dont think you have to have them broken to progress labour, some babies are still born with the waters intact (special name for that). I too am wondering what will happen third time round as I've never experienced it!

Mine were broken during labour with DD. With DS (3 years later) they broke in the middle of the night though labour pains didn't start until a couple of hours later.

Waters broke when pushing with DS2

Thanks ladies! Anyone's guess then...

Am only a little anxious because when they were broken the midwife thought she'd caught umbilical cord with knitting needle thing and all hell broke out...'twas all fairly traumatic!

mine never went with 3 of mine,and only the hind waters went with no4..

Was induced with ds1 and waters finally went when I was pushing.

Waters went weith ds2 at 3am when I was half way across the landing - he arrived 14 hours later

Waters were broken with ds1 a few mins before he came out. Same thing happened with dd, who was first of twins, they held off breaking waters until they could get me into theatre, in case of needing emcs. Dd also came out within a few mins of waters being broken. Presume they also broke ds2/twin 2 but dont actually remember!!!
