Anyone had their baby at Airedale in West Yorkshire?
Good experience?
Can you recommend a consultant?
Thanks

I had my ds at airedale in 2009. I used the antenatal day clinic, the labour ward of course, and was on the postnatal ward for 5 days.

My experience was very good - the staff are extremely busy (the norm I think!), but are very friendly and caring. The midwife from the labour ward came up to see me after my emcs to see how I was, which was lovely. I was given excellent help with bf, and simply found all the staff really approachable.

The food was dire though - at that time, the kitchens were being refurbished and the food was being brought in from an external supplier. 3 years in, I hope they've got that sorted!

Forgot to mention, I can't recommend a specific consultant, but going by the rest of the team, I'm sure they will be good.

Hi, I had ds2 at airedale in June 2011 and the midwives were very nice. Friendly and caring as said above. I had to be induced which was managed much better here than in my previous birth (different hospital) and then gave birth in the pool and was out the same night. The midwives are very busy but it was a good experience. Can't recommend a specific consultant though but everyone I saw there was fine. ps I did have lunch on the day and it was quite nice!
