Is anyone got one due to child birth?

Hi simplynailz. I have never had one myself, but when I worked as a staff nurse on a surgical ward we would have seen these. People got them following long recovery times on the ward following abdo surgery.
The main thing if I remember was your nutritional status. So if you have one you really need to see a dietician IMO. Our patients were seen very regularly by the dietician,and this really helped to heal/improve the fistula.
