do you always have a show?

Had one with ds1 and ds2 about 4 or 5 days before I went into labour I think, from memory. Do you always get one? Just wondering if I can rely on getting some sort of warning this time around or not!!

I think you do, but it could only occur just before you give birth (I had mine about 10 mins before DD2 was born, but with DD1 I had it at the very start of labour) so I wouldn't depend on it when looking for labour signs.

I didn't see mine, the midwife removed it. I was far along enough in my labour to be having contractions about 3 minutes apart but I was very much still plugged!

I never had one with my two ds's....

Mine was also MIA.

I didn't, but I was induced at 40+14. I think it all went down the loo when my waters broke, tbh (many hours after induction was started).

Everyone has a mucus plug but not everyones comes out pre labour - midwifes words

I didn't see it, but my waters broke with dd1 before labour started so it must have come out.

I think that unless you keep a look out you can miss it quite easily.

I didn't have one and was induced at 16 day over due.....

Just a wee update i started gettin my show last night, there was no blood or anything just clear jelly and honestly wouldn't have noticed it if i hadn't been on the lookout since i've had other signs all week. So easy to miss.

Not with dd but yes with ds, mind you waters didn't go till I was pushing with ds either.
