Do subsequent babies always come earlier?

I am expecting DC3 in June. DP is going to be at work abroad on the due date but is due home the following day. This is his first baby.

DS1 was born at 40+2 and DS2 was born on his due date. So I was wondering if its likely that DC3 will be early.

DS2 is going to be 3.6 yo when this baby is due if that makes a difference.

No they don't same as they don't always get bigger.

No - not in my experience Im afraid!.

DD1 - 10 days overdue - induced
DS - 2 days overdue (actually more like one full day but born in wee hours of 2nd day)
DD2 - 15 days overdue

I'd like this one to just be a few days late to give DP time to get home.

My 2nd DC was late by 10 days and my 3rd DC was early by a week so no, I'm afraid subsequent babies don't always come earlier!

My first baby was a week early but my second was a week late, do wasn't true in my case.

nope, DD1 was 18 days early whereas DD2 was 2 days late and I became incredibly agitated when I still had two weeks to go as I had geared myself up for another early baby and never expected it to be later let alone go overdue.

Not in my case. +8 and then +9.

No! DC 1 was 2 weeks late, dc2 a week early and dc3 a week late.

Not in my case. DD1 was 6 days late, DD2 was induced at +12 days.

Not here either. Dc1 was on due date, dc2 was 10 days late.

It was with me (T+11, T+6, T+2) and with my mum (T+14, T+13, T+9) but I know a lot of people who had 2nd babies later than their first.

Not here either. DS dragged out via induction 11 days over, dd dragged out via induction 11 days later 4 1/2 years afterwards. I like to think i must have a comfortable womb.
