hi fellow bumps
im due in 9 days and have just brought some Caulophyllum 200C as ive been having niggles on and off for about a week now.
Just wondered how often and when to take it and if anyone else has found this to work i'm desperate not to go over due as im planning on a vbac and will have to have a c-section if i do go over due :(

I would speak to a qualified homeopath. I don't know much about homeopathic caulophyllum, but I do know the tincture is rather potent, I wouldn't recommend it without serious supervision as it is essentially a self-induction, which is dodgy unless you know the baby is well positioned etc. I also wouldn't take anything to strengthen contractions for a vbac generally.
Why do you "have" to have a c-section? Are you sure there is no alternative? Could you not opt for expectant monitoring instead (to keep track of the placenta function and baby's health, rather than assuming the worst and inducing or operating blind). For a standard VBAC I can't see a reason why it would be necessary, and you have the right to refuse. If it is being recommended because of complications, you can always meet with you OB to discuss risks/benefits/alternatives.

I used a homeopathic birth kit in my first labour....I didn't progress past 4cm after a very long labour and even syntocin didn't work. I ended up with an emcs.

Needless to say I didn't bother with the homeopathic stuff the 2nd time (attempted vbac).

I'm afraid caulophyllum didn't do anything for me - DS2 arrived when he wanted, 11days late :(
I would second the advice to contact a qualified homeopath though

Good luck for your vbac

I took at the end for my 3 ds and he arrived on his due date :). I would consult a qualified homeopath though .

You can take as much of it as you like - it's just a sugar and water pill, there's nothing active in it. Sorry!
