how many of you have had an "straight-forward labour first time, and the same again 2nd time around?

I had a good first labour, 2hours ish, and overall went well , had pph after delivering the placenta (lost 100mls) due to big baby/small frame mummy/fast labour and no placenta jab(name?)... well i've been told this was the factors.

i hope the blood loss doesnt happen this time around but what are the chances of good labour, or the blood loss happening again?

MW said the blood loss shouldnt happen again, i have a consultant appt about this next week.

Had a good birth first time,
and after reading 'ina may's guide to childbirth',I had a brilliant 2nd birth Smile

Very straight forward first birth, about 2hrs. no problems, no tearing, no stitches.

Second birth was about 15mins, although the placenta then took its time! Again very straight forward, small amount of grazing, no stitches. Planned homebirth, although didn't plan it to be assisted - that was due to the shortness.

Had a great first birth (aside from the episiotomy due to DS's massive head!), and an even better birth second time around. Both were 6 1/2 hours long, after DD's birth the student midwife who delivered her told me repeatedly 'that was amazing!' No tears, no stitches, no problems at all.

I found it easier second time around as I knew what to expect, and I knew I could cope with the contractions. I almost enjoyed it, in a strange way. I'd love to do it again, but I'm worried that I've used up all my good birthing luck.
