Postpartum bleeding or period???

My son Jack is 6 weeks tommorrow and I bf him exclusively for 3 weeks and 3 days my postnatal bleeding was on and off for about 4 weeks then turned into a browny discharge (sorry tmi) until about 3 days ago when it dissappeared completely then yesterday i got a pinky discharge and now i'm bleeding again its not particulary heavy but deeper in colour some bright red like a period. Is this my first period or has my postnatal bleeding returned and should i be worried? With my dd1 I bf exclusively for 14 weeks and still had a period at 10 weeks but i'd stopped bleeding for a couple of weeks before then so knew definately the difference.

everyone told me it wsa a period

finally went for a scan and had to have an emergency d and c for retained placenta

the blood was building up around it and if I hadnt had surgery to remove it I could have haemorraghed at any moment

Enid . Well I spoke to my HV who said she thinks it's a period but if it gets really heavy to go to a&e I think it probably is a period as im starting to feel a bit like i do when i'm on, niggly belly pains etc but i will keep an eye on it.
