Premature labour hospital bag

I'm just about 22 weeks pregnant with DC2. DD was born at 31 weeks but I went into labour at 30 weeks and was in hospital for a week before I had her.

I didn't have anything packed last time and relied on friends bringing things in, DH bringing in the wrong things, and the midwives being nice to me!!

I want to pack a bag over Christmas for in case I go early again, then if I make it to 35 ish weeks I'll add baby stuff/ amend contents to assume a shorter stay.

So far all I have are maternity pads and arnica tablets (I'll be a c section). Obviously I'll stick in a pair of pjs, some money. But really not sure what else. The whole experience with DD was such a blur, I'd be grateful for any pointers!

Thanks.

Breast pads? Lots of big pants? Spare tshirt/pj top? Mini shower gel and shampoo? And of course chocolate Grin
Don't know much about what you'd need after a C section, but just a couple of bits until someone else comes along Smile

Tops that allow you to do "kangaroo care" if appropriate.
Charger for phone/alarm clock so you can set it for "cares" time.
Magazines to read while expressing (if you will do this).
(I also had an old bra that I cut slits in so could be hooked up and have hands free ie not having to hold both pump bits)
Diary/note book to record events.
Camera
Snacks especially for when you've been to scbu for the hundredth time!
Shoes other than slippers for when you're going to and fro from scbu.
Obviously this all assumes an early baby - so hopefully you won't need some of these items.
Wishing you a happy and healthy remaining weeks of your pregnancy.Smile

Thank you. Some fab ideas I just hadn't thought of. DH works away so life is fairly busy at the moment but he's home for a fortnight over Christmas and I really must get my act in gear and sort my bag while he's home.
