I had a sweep yesterday at 40+4 - had a lot of show last night and its carried on today.

Quite a bit of back ache and a few tightenings this morning.

Then since about 5 I've had tighenings about every ten minutes, they're making me stop and kinda breath through but not too bad - feeling it a lot on my back - I've been checking that its not bubs just stretching but he seems to not make these kinds of pains.

Just downloaded a contraction timer for my phone and finally got it to work.....

Wait and see I guess - OH is just going to pick up chinese and then I'll probably head for a bath and bed and see what happens....

I love it that oh is snoring next to me! Surely these contractions should be getting closer together? I think they're getting more painful!!

Hi glitternanny

sounds exciting - woo hoo!

If you can sleep then do - nothing's going to stop the baby coming if it's ready but nice to be rested if you can.

Try not to time the contractions or worry too much about them getting close together, just try and distract yourself, let your body do its thing for a while and get the lights down low.

A bit of snuggling with OH wouldn't go amiss either to get yourself feeling happy and relaxed and ready to release all those hormones.

Go girl!

Thanks I thought I was talking to myself for a while then.

I kinda wanna hit that magic ratio so I can head to hospital see what's happening on the inside but I am quite comfy here!

Dont think sleep will happen but am resting, with my mind racing!!

Am I right in thibking moving around makes them more intense/closer together or have I made that up?

Have you phoned the hospital? It might be a good idea just to describe what is happening so they can advise. Also they can get a room ready (sounds like you're going to need it!)
I'm so excited for you. Sending out lots of good birthy feelings. Grin
