I had some hip pain while pg but since giving birth it got worse for about two weeks, it was extremily hard to walk I assumed it was things moving after birth. Now at six weeks it is a bit better and comes and goes it is moderatly painfull it wakes me up about 3 times a night . Some days it doesnt hurt and others it hurts all day walking up steps hurts the most. I have my six week check soon and planned on asking then but I wondered if anyone else had felt the same? or had any advice on easing the pain.

Get a physio referral at your check
Other things, do not sit on floor, change baby standing up and do pelvic floor a lot but gently.
Try to push buggy with excellent posture and consider changing buggy as this could be making it a lot worse.
I had this. I still don't sit on floor after 2 pregnancies last one 18m ago.
Def see a physio and do the exercises religiously forever.

Did you have epidural?

Thanks both I had no epidural no forceps no stitches, all in all it was as good a birth as you can hope for so I was a little confused about this. This is my third but I am sure I didnt have this on the other two. I will make a appointment today to see my GP, I am sorry to hear that both of you still suffer with pain after birth.
