Hi, I hired a tens machine for both previous babies but can't remember who from, have done a google search but there are loads to chose from now, any suggestions which to get? There seem to be digital ones now, the one i had before had dials are these easier??
Thanks

hi helen
i have bought a boots maternity tens (for first pregnancy 2 years ago), which you can also hire from any boots store. it's a 4-channel/pad machine, which i have heard are supposed to be better than the 2-channel ones. i don't know about the digital vs dial: on mine you can adjust the programme and strength by pushing buttons. worked very well for me in labour, used that and gas-and-air all the way to 10cms.

I ordered a TENS machine last week. I looked into the prices of a couple of obvious suppliers and Mothercare seemed the cheapest, but they are all around the same price (about £27.50). I ordered and it arrived within about two days, as I am due in less than three weeks now.

It looks a bit more complicated than the one I used from Lloyds Chemist four years ago but I get the impression that they have all advanced a bit since then.

Good luck - I don't think there is much between them and they may all be digital now - don't think I will be in the mood to read the instructions whilst I am using it though!

I had the "lady tens" from babycaretens - worked really well - & very good service - will definately use one next time.

Has anyone used the Freedom ones? They're for sale on eBay for £19.99 which would be great if they work but I'm always cynical when something seems too good to be true!!!!
