How likely is it that the baby will come early?

Not likely. I measured 7 weeks ahead of myself with each of my pregnancies (including the twins). DS1 and DD1 were 4 days late, DD2 was 4 days early and the DTs were 4 weeks early.

Cuffyj, don't want to scare you or anything, but might be wise to pester midwife to do scan of baby, to ensure not going to be too big, was a thing on breakfast tv this am, with a couple who lost their 1st dd, as the hospital didn't realise how big she was (she too was measuring big for her dates) and they tried to deliver her naturally giving her brain damage in the process, she was a 12 pounder....died 3 days later, they now have twins, but that's not the point......

on this note anchovies has just posted also to say she's being refered for a scan due to exactly this!

I thought they were suppost to refer you for a scan when you measured so many more cm's over/under?? Thats what my midwife said as i was measuring 31.5 & 30 weeks but she said i was still within the "so called range", i would ask for a scan just to be safe.

At my last ante-natal appointment I was 26wks but measured at 30wks. I have a tendency to have large babies and already had a growth scan booked for 36wks but the MW has said that if this pattern of measuring large for dates continues she will refer me for another scan just to make sure.

Ds2 was seen to be a large baby at my 36wk growth scan and so was induced at 38wks to minimise the chances that I would need a C-section.
