c-section scar massage - when? how?

When should i start massaging my c-section scar? and should i use/avoid certain products? Anything else i should know?

I have never touched mine and it's healed up perfectly. I can barely see it now and i havent had any pain in it from about 2 weeks post section (.almost 3 years ago)

Unless you have any problems I'd leave it well alone to be honest, just pat it dry when you have a wash and leave it to heal up in it's own time :)

thanks ladies, this is interesting. I had my c-section 15 days ago, and was getting worried that I should have already started some kind of massage program. Nice to know I havent missed anything essential.
