it's been different with every pregnancy Confused

bebemoojem · 04/11/2011 21:18

well you passed me up...6w both times even tho I bf... What a treat.

My sisters all went abt 6m even after they weren't bf ... sisters they always get everything you want Envy Wink Grin

it can vary from woman to woman so be wary of pregnancy/don't think you can't get pregnant.

RandomMess · 04/11/2011 21:19

Yes with my 3rd they returned straight away despite b/f so with the 4th I had the mirena coil fitted 3 weeks post partum Grin

lickencivers · 04/11/2011 21:20

DD is 11 months. No period as yet!

thenightsky · 04/11/2011 21:21

5 months with both DC

dreamfeeder · 04/11/2011 21:26

9 months but I was bf. enjoy it while it lasts!!!

MmeBucket · 04/11/2011 21:27
Envy

Mine returned right around 2 months both times. Even with BF.

RandomMess · 04/11/2011 21:41

Pudding2Be, perhaps you're already up the duff again Grin

CocoPopsAddict · 04/11/2011 21:46

How random that this thread appeared today. My period returned today - joys. Hmm DS is 11mo. I am still bf, but obviously he is starting to cut down now.

RandomMess · 04/11/2011 21:50

Coco stop showing off!!!!!

that first one is pretty hideous though itsn't it?

I have a friend whose periods did not return until the final b/f was dropped - she has a 2.5 year gap between each of her children as a result!

DuelingFanjo · 04/11/2011 21:52

DS is 10 months and still no periods here.

Lyftiduft · 04/11/2011 21:52

7 months, didn't bf- did get worried and did a couple of preg tests it seemed to take so long to arrive! Once my periods had begun again I started to lose some of the baby weight, though this is probably just coincidence.

Pascha · 04/11/2011 21:53

Mine has also appeared this week Angry. Although it is much much lighter than it ever was before. The Boy is nearly 14mo and bf.

ifitsnotanarse · 04/11/2011 21:55

6 wks both times even though bf. Not a happy bunny.

ShowOfHands · 04/11/2011 21:56

Exclusive bfing...

13 weeks
5 weeks

mamalovebird · 04/11/2011 21:59

I honestly can't remember, it must have been about three months, but they came back more ferocious than ever, heavier, more painful, more emotional but that could be down to being knackered and therefore more irritable. what no one told me is how long it'd be before I could actually hold a tampon in for more than five minutes. About 18 months and even then its a super heavy flow dambuster.

Pudding2be · 05/11/2011 09:04

Random I hope I'm not, not as it would be a bad thing but I get married in May next year. Not sure if my dress would fit Smile

Oh Christ Mama they were bad before I had DD. I didn't realise but the pains I used to get were like early but strong labour pains Confused

Thanks ladies

About 4-5 months I think.

first1 · 05/11/2011 10:47

About 4 weeks but bottle fed. And omg you can't begin to imagine the heaviness! I had to go back to labour ward thinking it was retained products but nope just the mother of all periods Sad Hello mirena coil is all I can say...

LorainneK · 05/11/2011 22:08

Returned at 12 weeks. I wasn't bf either. Were irregular though and only got regular again after about 4 months. And the first period after giving birth was VERY heavy.

architien · 05/11/2011 22:23

first time 6 weeks :( this time more than 6 months and still no AF.....

PeppaPigandGeorge · 05/11/2011 22:38

10 months.

Breastfeeding (with solids but no formula) and they came back a few weeks after I started taking the mini-pill, which my GO assured me would actually stop my periods. And then caused my non-existent period to return...

TheWicketKeeperIsDown · 05/11/2011 22:44

16 months. Was still breastfeeding. It came as a bit of a shock - I'd got so used not to having them!

NotJustKangaskhan · 05/11/2011 22:55

DS1: 19 months, DD1: 16 months, DD2: 14ish months, I think.

allset · 05/11/2011 23:01

DD is 11m, am BF, no period yet thank God. Planning to stop BF soon, dreading return of periods, hate them
