what is it for again? Is it to bring on labour (ha bloody ha) or is it to do with softening your cervix etc to make labour easier? when are you supposed to start taking it? If it's just to get labour going I won't bother this time

It's to help strengthen the muscles in your uterus - idea is that it's more efficient when you're at the pushing stage. You can take tablets/drink tea from 37w.

I used it in both pregnancies and had one very long slow labour and one very very fast labour, but in both cases the pushing stage was very short and relatively easy. Not sure if it was down to the RLT but there's no harm trying it!

Brill, thanks....last labour was fairly short with pushing stage of 6mins so will get on the rlt again!

Hi ladies - just curious, what is RLT?

tiokiko · 31/10/2011 16:41

Raspberry Leaf Tea - or you can get it as tablets if you're a tea-hater like me!

brilliant, I bloody hate the actual tea
