40 + 5 with first baby and feel like he'll never want to cone out. So want to get my water birth in the MLU so would be gutted if we get to the stage where induction is necessary. Positive stories from ladies whose babies were late but by 13 days or less please :-)

My DD was 40+13. I was booked in for induction the evening she was born but everything kicked off naturally the night before. Smile

That's the kind of thing I'm after! Thank you. More please! Grin

Almost 13 days... DS was 40+14. Induction booked for 11:30 that day; took myself in at 10 in established labour.

Curry and pineapple may have had something to do with it. Sex worked with DD (only 40+5) but DH was't prepared to play this time around.

you got there before me natwebb79 I was just a about to start a thread looking for hopeful happy stories!

I'm 41wks, planning a homebirth but at the moment feel like this isn't going to happen. I don't think baby wants to shift Sad

Try a membrane sweep?

NoodieRoodie · 30/10/2011 10:57

I've got a sweep booked for tomorrow afternoon so that is my last little glimmer of hope. I've tried the pineapple, curry, raspberry leaf tea, bouncing on the ball and even tried sex the other night. Doubtful we'll try sex again as me saying "just get on with it" in a slightly cross harrassed voice apparently isn't very romantic!
