Had DD this morning. Am ecstatic but slowly melting to death in hospital. We have to stay in overnight and it has to be at least 25 degrees in here. Midwife made me put DD in a babygro, swaddling blanket and put another blanket on top. Won't she be roasting?? How can I tell if she's too hot?

Congratulations!!!
I'm not surprised to hear that the hospital is hot. Maternity units always seem to be in my experience.
Small babies can't sweat, so keeping her at a comfortable temperature is very important.
Feel the back of her neck, inside her clothes. Does it feel hot? If it does she probably needs a little less clothing. If it feels a comfortable temperature she's probably ok.
