St Marys vs Queen Charlottes

I am on baby 3. I am currently at Queen Charlottes but had my other 2 at St Marys. I really would like to use the pool this time. Queen Charlottes ante natal care has been ok but tbh I thinking more of the delivery. As anyone got any experience of one/both?

I had baby number 1 at the birth centre there, in the pool. Without having much to compare it to, I thought it was great - we arrived at 2 am and had DD just after 4, in a private room with pool and its own bathroom. After delivery we moved to a similar room without a pool, there was also a bed where DH could sleep, and we were allowed to stay there all day.

I didn't see the same midwife at any of my pre-natal visits but they were all nice as far as I remember and the birth went pretty well!

I had the same experience as BobbieSox at QC's. DD1 was born in the birth centre. Hadn't planned to use the pool but it was available and felt good when I got in. After the birth we were moved to a non-pool private room and DH was able to stay with us, sleeping on a pull out bed. Midwife at delivery was fantastic and the others the next day were very helpful in establishing BF. DD was born at 5.46pm and we left the hospital after lunch the next day but there was no rush or pressure and we could have stayed longer if we wanted. It was a really positive experience.

Thanks for replies. I think I am going to stick with QC as I just spoke to the receptionist at St Marys and I had forgotten from having my last two dcs there, how bloody rude she was and I just can't be bothered with it. How do rude people get these kind of jobs? Just what a hormonal irrational pregnant woman needs.
