Is this a show, and if not... what is it?!?!?

I'm 2 days overdue with my third child, so I really should know this stuff! But I remember a show being (get ready for graphic description...) kind of clear-ish jelly with bloody streaks. I've just had something greeny/yellow on the loo roll, and altogether 'snottier'.

Any ideas?

sounds like normal discharge. I got an increase in the last few days before I started getting any show. So it sounds like things are moving in the right direction for you. good luck

Really? Greeny/yellow says infection to me, I think of discharge as being white/clear.
God, this is gross really, isn't it?

Thanks! Smile

Hi

I am no expert but from reading and from my only experience, the show is supposed to look like a firm snot. Colour varies.

The first one I had didn't have blood but it wasn't a clear colour. Many hours later I got a bigger lump of 'snot' with blood on it.

Good luck!! My contractions started 2hrs after first show... baby was born 4 days later though lol

My show was clear jelly/mucus with pink and then red bloody streaks.

I went to see the midwife soon after it started and she confirmed that was what it was. She also said I was dilating (Dc2) and I went into labour that day.

Good luck!!

Sounds pretty hopeful to me!

Weird isn't it, that you can be desperately hoping for a blob of 'firm, bloody snot' and for the mild tightenings to turn into something really painful?

Thanks for the reassurance - no one thinks that greeny-yellow is a bad sign of any kind?
