just wanted to know were subsequent labours shorter than first one ? Also if first child late were subsequent children late/early?

OP posts:
Are your children’s vaccines up to date?

DD1 5 days early, long labour (from waters breaking/contractions starting to baby arriving about 18hrs)
DD2 on her due date - about 4 hrs
DS1 6 days late, about 2 hrs

!

Dd1 born on exactly on her due date. 13 hours from waters breaking to birth (although only had contractions for about 8 hours). Ds1 was born ten days late after two hours of labour.

DD born at 38 weeks. 31hrs between waters breaking and emcs.

DS born at 37 weeks. 38hrs between waters breaking and emcs.

Ds1 was 10 hours - 6 days late
Ds2 was 10 hours - 9 days late
Dc3 due on Sunday - hoping it wont be 12 days overdue.

mosschops30 · 12/09/2011 16:02

Dd 4 days late, 25 hr labour, normal delivery
Ds1 15 days late, induced, 6 hr labour, normal delivery
Ds2 16 days late, induced for 4 days, non progressing 12 hr labour, emcs Sad

DS was 13 days over, DD was 3 days over. Both labours lasted 6 1/2 hours. Pushing stage was quicker second time around though- 12 minutes rather than 19 minutes.

ohbabybaby · 12/09/2011 21:00

DS1: went into labour 40+2, born 40+4 (48 hrs from first, mild, contractions, official 'established labour' 28 hours)

DS2: went into labour 40+0, born 40+1 (13 hours from start (waters breaking), official 'established labour' 11 mins [but only cos they hadn't checked for a couple of hours, was about 1.5 hours really])

this is what i'm wondering - DS1 had elcs at 31 weeks and now pg with DC2. alll looks to be going ok so far but trying to figure out when to take maternity leave/hols etc.

any one have any idea if most babies arrive before or after due date?

i know the answer is in the question (Estimate Due Date) but can't quite get my head around it all!
