Looks like I haven't made it to my ELCS, and I think I am progressing very well, too well in fact for them to carry out a section on arrival.

I am having to wait for DH who is dropping DS and DD off at my mums and it's rush hour who labours in the morning?

Contractions are very full on when they come which is too regular for my liking 5 minutes apart in less than and hour.

I have a horrible pain inbetween the contractions, banging headache and feel I will vomit any minute.

I so don't want to do this, I am petrified!

I don't know your back story, but I am here to hold your hand. You will be fine, your baby will soon be here!

Take a deep breath and try not to panic, you can do this. Are you in a good position? All fours or on a birthing ball? Try take some sips of drink and paracetamol.

How long will your DH be?

barbie1 · 07/09/2011 08:56

I am here too, do you know the sex? Please try not too worry, your dh will be back soon

nunnie · 07/09/2011 08:56

Thank you, I am as comfortable as I can get on all fours when they come.

Ohh paracetamol hadn't even thought of that.

About 30 minutes then we have the lovely 40 minute drive to hospital.

can you get someone to get you to the hospital and dh meet you there?

CaptainMartinCrieff · 07/09/2011 09:00

Just from a practical point of view are you packed and ready to go straight to hospital and do the hospital know you're coming in?
Good luck.

nunnie · 07/09/2011 09:02

My bags are by the door, notes inside. Rang them an hour ago and was told they would take more details when I arrive and to leave ASAP.

Do you think you'll make it 30+40 mins? If not is there anyone who can take you to hospital an your DH just meet you there?

sunndydays · 07/09/2011 09:05

It won't be long until your DH will be home. Make the most of being at home and go to the loo (I hate hospital toilets!)

nunnie · 07/09/2011 09:07

I think I will make it, and hopefully we will get the backend of rush hour for the hospital trip so fingers crossed it will be shorter.

Have been frequently going to the loo, just for soemthing to do and to keep me moving.
