I am trying to encourage DC 3 out slightly early or on time for very valid (but admittedly "social") reasons..i.e. its all about having someone here to look after other DCs..
Last week was examined by my consultant at 38 + 4 with the idea that she might do a sweep if I were "favourable" but according to my "posterior but soft multiparous cervix", still have "a bit to go". Can anyone translate?! I have interpreted this as being nowhere near and unlikely to go between now and EDD. How long does it take for a cervix to go from favourable to unfavourable? Or to swing about to "anterior" from posterior? My other 2 were both born within a day of EDD, but have heard 3rds can stay on board for longer? Aaargh - I think I need a back up plan for the DCs...although consultant did offer an induction at term +1 - but baby was OP and not super keen on this.
