Anyone else experienced a vaginal breech complication?

I have no experiance of this at all, and my baby is the right way round, with her head engaged so should stay that way.

BUT if my baby had have been breech i would have still been planning a vaginal birth at home. (though would probably be using an IM rather than NHS midwives)

such a shame that so many midwives are loosing their skills at birthing breech babies (which wasnt really considered an issue 50 or so years ago) because the NHS prefer cesarians Sad

Exactly - you have no experience of this at all. So why you felt the need to comment on this post is beyond me. The NHS do not prefer ceasarians - they are expensive and they would rather avoid them. I had a breech CS, and I for one would prefer it if you kept your not so well meaning and ill-informed comments to yourself. Grin

Search on the RCOG (royal college obst and gynaes website) for statistics and a more impartial view!
In my not-very-extensive experience of about 5 I have never seen any, but don't base your personal delivery decision on this!!!

I haven't had one but a friend of mine did. I'm not sure when it was discovered but think it was when she was in labour. The delivery took place in theatre and was fine.

Have just seen the OP asked about complications so please ignore last post.

I knew my baby was breech, failed having it turned, went into labour at 36weeks, had a 3hr labour, no time for a section as had to travel to a hospital 45mins away as everywhere else unforunately closed! Had baby within 10mins of arriving by ambulance. Baby was resussed and in scub for 2weeks. Would defo have had had section if labour hadnt have been so quck! Just woundered if any had experienced any complications similar as a possible result of a vaginal breech delivery?
