What the hell was this all about?

last night started having painful contractions, at short (but quite erratic) intervals (by erratic, they were between 2 and 9 minute gaps, though mostly about 3 minutes between them)

They went on for about 2-3 hours, then DH said he wanted to head to bed. I said I'd join him. Had, like two more contractions then nothing all night. Slept pretty well.

They were so friggin' painful. I'm fucking fed up and thought it was kicking off :( I'd wandered about the living room for a bit then had a long sit on the sofa before deciding to go to bed.

This morning I'm having a few light pains, but nothing special.
They were just BH fucking with me, weren't they?

This happened to me on and off for 3 days before ds2.

I really noticed the contractions ramping up when I went properly into labour.

This happened to me for 3 days off and on also. I remember being compelled to jump up and walk around, up and down like a yoyo I was!

I had a day like this yesterday. Saw the midwife who felt my stomach and winced (it just kept spasming). I was in such pain. They were bh, exacerbated by a nasty uti.

I hope it's a sign that he's on his way soon. I didn't have this ambiguity last time. My waters broke in spectacular fashion with DS and labour started straight after.

I've been getting this also. I am 40+5 and really thought it was happening. Pretty strong contractions every 12-15 mins apart for the entire night, although managed to sleep ok on and off. Woke up early but decided for the first time in ages that I was gonna laze in bed. DH got home from his night shift and we had breakfast in bed - contractions continued. Got up had a shower and dressed and within half an hour they stopped! Had very small erratic contractions for a few hours and now seem to have started with the strong ones again!

No idea what is happening! Just praying it means it will start in the next day or so!

Fingers crossed it's the start of something for us waiting for babies to arrive

Today I've had nothing much, just a few BH. Less so than usual in fact.
