Consultant changed c-section date 4 days beforehand

Also posted in pregnancy...i have had my c-section date booked in since 5th April. It is my 3rd and I am suffering from agonising spd. Today I had a call from a midwife at the hospital saying that they are changing my date from Friday until the following tuesday as they are busy that day.

Sadly it was a message and it is now too late to contact them today but I am in floods of tears at the thought of an extra four days in this crippling pain. I have had a girl to stay for the last week to help exercise my two boys as I can't move and she is leaving on Friday when my mum was supposed to step in. My mother can't stay much of the following week, so my childcare is ruined and my husband can't take any more than the Monday off (was going to have the weekend and monday with me and baby).

Added to this I went into spontaneous labour at 38 weeks with the other two it is getting uncomfortably close to my due date as I will be 39 + 3 on the Tuesday.

I know it is not a tragedy in the great scheme of things, but I am gutted. Do I have any recourse to beg them to change their mind? Why would I have been the one bumped off - bearing in mind it is my 3rd cs and therefore high risk? I guess I just want to rant above all...

Defintely speak to them tomorrow morning - explain the situation and ask if there is any flexibility
