How long for 1st period after birth?

Hi, my DS is now 17 weeks old and i've not had a period yet. Should I be worried or go to the doctors? With my first, DD, I had a period about 8 weeks after giving birth. I'm a bit worried. Thanks.

17 weeks here and nothing yet either. Not in the slightest bit worried (not that my cycle was especially regular anyway) but think its completely normal, particularly if you are breadtfeeding.

DD 14months. No period yet. (but had an implant fitted @ 10months).

Assuming you're BFing then it could be ages .... DS was 15 months when mine came back

If you're not BFing then I'd've though about 2 months.... but I'm guessing on this...

About 16 months here but I BF.

21 months (was still BFing at the time)

BFing - 15 months.

Not BFing - about 6 weeks

If you're BF then 17 weeks well within normal - enjoy!
If you're not BF then I'd probably suggest seeing your GP.

ABout a month after I stopped breastfeeding, both times.

Yip about six to eight weeks after stopping BFing.

Honestly it scared the crap out of me! I lept simultaneously back to when I was 11 and got my period for the first time and to when I was pregnant and therefore bleeding was bad, very bad. It took me a minute to go ''hang on, I remember this... oh bugger they're back".

4 weeks, both times, whilst BF (although only pt second time)

embrace it! unless you're worried you might be pregnant, in which case, test.

I FF and mine came at 10 weeks and lasted 6 days, only know this because I did the bedroom roll the day after it finished and am now alomost 30 weeks pregnant.

18 months

bfeeding thru the night until 18 months then it was 1 month to the day that i stopped feeding at night

I BF to 14 months but went back to work at 6 months and scaled back BFing from that point. Period started again at 9 months.
