OH yes I've tried:

raspberry leaf tea about 5 cups a day. Nothing.
Gym ball bouncing. Doesn't do anything.
Walking. Causes me pain and nothing else lol

How about you?

Hi, I'm also due on 17th, though not in such a rush! Still feel I could do with a few more days of lounging around whilst DD is at nursery (3 days a week). To be honest as knackered and uncomfortable as I am, and much as I want to meet my baby, I am well aware that things will get tougher once he's here so not in a hurry for labour and the aftermath (no sleep, sore boobs etc). DH is doing a lot to help right now, but I will have to do more with a newborn Wink. I am a lazy wuss Blush. Was 10 days over with DD and did get pretty desperate by then though! Good luck with bringing yours on though! I'm hoping for a home birth so obviously don't want to go to 2 weeks over. I will check in when ready to eat my words/just get it over with Grin.

hi lilysma , we're due on the same day, good for you your not in a rush, i am realy waiting, i know it will not be easy with my 2years baby and the new one, but i just want it to be done, lucky your DD in the nursery at the moment, my DS getting a very jalouse now, he can feel the baby caming, he like to be traited as baby now and to be called a baby.
oh, i just hopping this will go when he will see the baby.

i find the newborn easier to deal with then the final weeks/days of pg tbh. Im not sleeping now so won't make much difference!! Nothing you can do ime they just come when ready.

im 39+1 btw

I think my view may be a bit jaded due to the fact that DD didn't sleep AT ALL for the first 4 nights of her life. Well she sort of did but would only doze on the breast and wouldn't be put down. I was in hospital and they wouldn't let us co-sleep, hence I had no sleep apart from the odd hour for a week (30 hours in labour prior to the nights from hell sitting up in a hospital chair with swollen feet bfing all night). So this time going for a home birth, trying to avoid hospital like the plague and v relaxed about co-sleeping - maybe I will manage to get more rest! Am actually sleeping ok at the moment despite heartburn and 5 nightly visits to toilet Grin. Still knackered though...

Firstsupermum I am in awe of the two year age gap - don't think I would have managed it. DD is 5 in November. She's really excited about the new arrival but last night she did suddenly start crying and saying I wouldn't have any time for her once he arrives Sad. So we'll see how she is in reality...I feel like I want to grab and treasure my last days with her as an 'only'.

Good luck to us all! Grin

lilysma i am trying to prepare myself to give a time to abouth off them, i know it will be hard. specially the new baby will need more time and attention, feeding, changing and looking after, its not easy, but its happend now, i wasnt planining this pregnancy, it was the big surprise as my first one was with IVF, i am happy with it Smile, hope i will be ok, i am already streesed with my ds2 and the pregnancy but good luck to us.
