16 months after 3rd degree tear - sex not back to normal

I had a 3b tear after a back to back labour with dd. Just wondered whether anyone else out there had experienced a lack of sensation during sex long term after a tear? I have very little sensation from sex now and it is really affecting our sex life. I am considering whether to have an elcs this time (currently 31 weeks pregnant) and want to know whether this is just normal or can be put down to my tear.

So sorry to hear you are still not feeling right Sad. I didn't have a 3rd degree tear, although I have had other serious childbirth injuries, and it's only 9 months after the birth. I definitely have reduced sensation. However, my specialist obs/gynae physio says that nerve damage can take a long time to repair itself. I guess this might not be what you want to hear in that it could take a lot longer for you to get sensation back. But on the other hand, feeling reduced sensation now doesn't mean that it is forever IYSWIM. Could you ask for a referral to a specialist physio - both for an assessment and to see if there's any exercises etc that could help?
