Sensation after childbirth!

DD is 6 weeks old and was born by forceps (with episiotomy!)
Although I havn't considered sex yet as I don't feel ready I had noticed a lack of sensation still in my lady regions! I tried ahem manual stimulation and can feel I'm touching but nothing pleasurable at all let alone by able to have an orgasm! Is this normal? I'm worried I'll never feel anything again!!

I would ask your GP at 6-8 week check.
I had episiotomy & forceps (with local anaesthetic injections, thankfully!) and felt very heavy and numbish 'down below' for what seemed like forever. Was worried about having sex and sutures falling apart or something.
Full normal sensation by the time we eventually had sex at almost 5 weeks.
I think things will return to normal for you too, but mention it to your GP.

6 weeks is still VERY early. Took me 6 months to be able to enjoy sex again, and I didn't have forceps, though extensive tearing that required an operation to fix. Try and be patient and just take things very slowly - it will get better, it can just take a lot longer than most of us are made to believe.
