I was scheduled for myomectomy just before I fel pregnant. Unfortunately, my fibroids are playing up big time, had stayed in hospitals already:(
I am 20 weeks now and although the birth is still far away, I wonder if they perform cs together with myomectiomies? I am going to talk to someone for sure, just want some head start. Anyone knows?

I've never seen it.

I'm sure all the hormonal changes associated with pregnancy alters your uterus and encourages the fibroids to grow ++ ergo myomectomy better done once hormonal maelstorm has settled down.

COI: not a gynaecologist, so may be wrong.

Would agree with above. Uterus too stretched, too much extra blood around.I think they will wait til uterus recovered from c section. Plus fibroids may shrink to some degree once hormones gone which would make for an easier quicker and therefore safer op.

thank you for your insights! indeed, I can see the point why those two should be separated. J
