IUD after CS

My midwife just said that I'd have to wait 12 weeks to have it fitted? Googling gave me anything between 6 and 12 weeks, NHS choices doesn't even mention anything about CS, so what is the truth?

Don't particularly trust my midwife but neither want to do it too early nor have to rely on condoms longer than neccessary

erm, had mirena fitted on day 21 post elcs

It depends on the Dr, mine was happy to from 6 weeks

Alright, thanks, guess I'll have to talk to them at my postnatal check up then.

That's what I did. I then had to make another appointment with the GP who fits coils in that practice to ask her though, as my GP didn't know what she would say!
