Ok so my homebirth plans are sliding away as it appears my womb, so far, has been too comfy for ds2 to leave! Will be 40+14 on Sunday when I'm booked for induction but my brain is whirring...
Now, I had an induction with DS at 40+14 too (who incidentally is 5 on Saturday) following a failed sweep and NO action in the cervix area. But following just 2 pessaries things kicked off in style and luckily had a quick waterbirth with no other pain relief..
This time round tho I've already had 2 sweeps, last Friday and Tuesday(which seemed very productive apart from me still being pregnant now) and have another booked for 2moro morning. So I know my cervix is accessible, soft shortened tho still high...
Question is, will they just go straight for breaking waters if I get to Sunday? Or the drip? Not sure I like either of those options but I'm guessing they won't see the pessary as necessary?
Baby is well engaged, bout 1 fifth palp on Tuesday, so surely it can't be much longer and hope I manage this b4 Sunday but I feel the need to prepare mentally (of course i'll ask mw 2moro too). I know I can refuse the induction but am starting to get desperate and seems almost pointless dragging things out as they prob won't let me homebirth from Sunday...
Fed up and doubting my ability to labour spontaneously. Have tried everything bar dh's 'stuff' as he's somewhat reluctant to share it with me at the mo.
Can't guess why a huffing puffing fat lady with spd demanding 'induction via sex' would put him off tbh and he didn't seem keen when I suggested I could use a syringe if he could provide the 'stuff'...
