Or is this a crazy question?

I'm 38 weeks with my first and getting fed up with:
Acid indigestion
Not sleeping at night as can't get comfy
Not being able to walk properly for any length of time without getting back ache
Generally feeling feeble, tired and achey
Feeling SO heavy

I appreciate that there are other pains/issues to deal with as a new mum, but nobody seems to mention feeling good to have their body back again/feel lighter/be able to sleep on their back etc etc

I suppose I'm looking for some encouragement and reason to believe there's light at the end of the tunnel!!!

Thanks in advance

8 months after my 1st. I suffered with anaemia, backache, granulation of episiotomy scar tissue, weight loss, carpal tunnel syndrome, piles.
A few days after my second...

Pregnancy stuff went instantly apart from my horrific spd, which 90% went instantly, and the last 10% has been gradually going over 9 months, and I'm nearly there.

If it wasn't for the spd though, the pregnancy stuff is instant. Birth/getting over having a child, I had an elcs and I felt pretty much back to normal in 2 weeks, though I was still taking painkillers for my spd and taking it easy because of that.

No issues with low mood, and got shed loads more sleep after birth than before it. So don't be disheartened if people say 'enjoy it now' when it sucks. I found the last few months of pregnancy far far worse than having a child in terms of rest.

I had a section and felt reasonably normal after about a month. Still recovering and unable to lift heavy things or exercise, but not in pain, fairly mobile and felt like myself, could eat what I wanted and have a glass of wine, etc. It's 10 weeks before you're allowed to exercise and a year for full recovery. Depends how you give birth and if you have any complications of course.
