Hi. I had my son in sept 2007 and ended in type two episiotomy and forceps delivery in theatre as he was wrong way up and stuck! Then had my daughter in june 2009, managed to just squeeze her out but had retained placenta. Still had epidural in so they manually removed it there and then. Unfortunately I could actually feel it all and it was the worst thing I have ever been thru. I have never cried so much, was then sick all over myself and had to have type two tear stitched up! The removal of placenta has left me with front and back prolapse. No incontinence just no pleasure in sex and uncomfortable etc. I am now pregnant with the third and final baby. After all this do I ask for c section or do I risk more damage? Once baby is 3 months will have to have corrective surgery for damage already there. Just dont know what to do and dont want any more trauma! Anyone been thru similar or got any advice?

I had a C-Section unexpectedly and I was gutted and in a lot of discomfort afterwards. I moaned a lot afterwards and nearly 2 years on I often still grumble that my labour came down to that. However, at the end of the day it was much better than what you have been through. I would definately ask for a planned C-section. You know you will be in some pain afterwards and that you won't be able to do much for 6 weeks but if you can plan for that and ask friends and family to be around to help with your little ones and everything else then its gotta be a good idea.
Good luck with this pregnancy

Thanks notjustsomeonesmum. Sorry your birth ended how you didnt want it to be. Dont feel bad about moaning about it as its your experience. Were you rooting for all natural? It worried me about the recovery afterwards but with my previous experiences it took a long time to heal from that! My other thought would be an induction at 38 weeks! Not sure if this would help anything tho. But im quite petite and my first was 8lb9oz and second was 8lb. Would being induced so baby wouldnt be as big help? Have appt with consultant 26th may to discuss, just want to have some idea of things when I go.
