I am 38+5 with DC2 and am fed up of having stop start contractions. I am sure they are not Braxton hicks because they are regular and dont go away if I change what I am doing (and much more painful than what I have been having for weeks)
I have been having the pains since thursday, they started off 20 mins apart and went down to 4-5 mins then stopped, now they come every 5-10 mins for a few hours then stop (although I have still got like a bad period pain type cramping when they are not regular.)
I never experienced early labour with DD1 as I was induced and went from 0-7cm in an hour so very painful very quickly.
Is there anything i can do to get things moving a bit quicker or is this normal? My sister said I should do a diy sweep but not sure I like the idea of that Blush.

Ring your midwife and ask her advice - sounds like very early labour, which can go on for days. She may come over and examine you if you ask
