early labour

Hi i started to have some cx last night, mw came out to see me and said cervix is soft but still long and only admits a fingertip (which is normal as this will be dc2)

What are the chances of it kicking off properly tonight?

Still feeling quite crampy but cx have mostly gone. Baby is still moving lots.

TMI have had a good clear out but still no show and waters are still intact.

Oh this is going to take forever!

How far are you? I'm experiencing the same but only 34 weeks x

My first labour went on for days, so was hoping that this time it might be a bit quicker, doesn't look like it though. :(

I get cx when i stand up and walk about but it stops the second i sit down! Think i might just have a early night and try again tomorrow.

I had my first child 12 years ago and am recently pregnant with a girl ! My first labour only lasted 15 mins, my waters broke at home and by the time I got to the hospital my pains were very mild cramps, they examined me and I was 2 cm dil only, I had one sharp pain and got up to go home and I couldn't walk as the contractions came thick and fast every 2 mins. The hospital examined me againand I was immediately 8 cms dil, then 10 mins later and 3 pushes and my son came into the world 3 weeks early at 7lb.
I can only prey and hope for the same luck 12 years later....

Things not really settled. Felt a bit off all day and have proper wind!! I've got some pain down 'there' and a strange pain going down from my belly button! Don't think I'm going to go the whole 40 weeks! X
