AFAIK, there's no need if you're not having a vaginal birth.

I had Strep B when I had DS so was automatically assumed to have it when I was carrying DD - big yellow stickers all over my notes - but as she was an ELCS, they didn't bother with the 2 AB drips like I had while labouring with DS. I think it's passing through the vagina that passes the infection

I'm having a planned section. My consultant isn't planning on testing for GBS, even for a vaginal delivery. I'm planning a private test.
I've found some info which suggests that anit-biotics are still recommended.
