First baby, 40 weeks, hoping to avoid an induction (aren't we all?)

Occassional BH-type sensations, only just started to notice them this week so presume they are getting stronger (though irregular)
Occassional jabby backache only in past week or so - could be BH or fetal movements? (Cephalic pres.)
Glob of clear / yellowish mucus tonight - mean anything?
Bladder can hold a tiny amount of fluid during the day, more overnight, feeling a lot of head pressure on pelvic floor

Mucus is a good sign, but it sound like you are a few days off yet.

you can phone the labour ward for advice 24 hours. I phoned loads, they were never pissed off, they are happy to advise and they said call back as many times as you want.
