Cycles longer that 28 days, was your pregnancy longer than 40 weeks??

Hi

My cycles used to average out at about 30-32 days in length, and I am 40 weeks pregnant today with my first- It's my due date!

I am curious as to whether those of you who have longer cycles, also had longer pregnancies??

(I know most first babies are late anyhow)

Hmmm....my cycle was always 29 days, and my three DCs were all about a week late. Not sure if the two are linked, though.

I had a 30-35 day cycle and my ds arrived bang on 40 weeks. I really thought he would arrive the following week so was a bit surprised when I went in to labour on his due date!

Hummm... it seems positive then. Thank's for your responses ladies, I guess a long cycle doesn't really seem to be a contributing factor to going over-due.

My cycles are anything between 35 and 75 days. With both DS and DD I went into labour 4 days early. DS was 2 days early and DD was 4 days early. I can't remember the exact number of days of my cycle with each of them, but I think DS was around 40 days and DD was about 35. My due dates were calculated from ovulation rather than lmp though.

Cycle usually several days longer than 28 days. DD born at 39+4. Currently 38+3, cycle still quite a bit longer than 28 days, will be interestesting to see when he/ she makes his / her appearance.

I thought that a longer cycle was only relevant when actually dating a pregnancy, because of when you might have ovulated..

I have a longer cycle, and baby was a week late. But then, she was my first!

have 30/35 day cycles and ds was born at 36 weeks. currently 36+6 with dc2

I had very irregular cycles anywhere between 35 and 60 days and my first was 2 weeks early.
