C-section scar - light bleeding 7 weeks after!?

Has any one experienced anthing similar?

My c-section scar has been a night mare! Had a previous section 5 years ago with no problems. Had a baby 7 weeks ago and got an infection in scar early on. Antibiotics cleared it up and its been fine for 4 weeks. Now a small 1cm section has started to bleed slightly. The nurse says it healed on top, but not properly underneath. It has now been 'packed' out to encourage full healing.

Just wish it would heal and stop playing me up!

Dont suppose it helps that my belly now droops over scar!! Sexy - you bet!!

Everyone's belly droops over the scar, I think.

I don't know what to say about the bleeding. It sounds annoying and upsetting. My scar didn't do this, after either section (but I didn't have an infection, either).

Are you still having lochia? Are you still having pain when you cough or laugh? Are you resting enough? Does it still feel or look infected? Are you careful to always dry the wound after you shower or bathe?

Thanks - Milward

No it does not look infected and does not hurt at all. I'm sleeping well and long - but who gets to rest in the day with 2 herbets!! No more lochia and no pain when coughing or laughing - so hopefully this is just a little hic up. The nurse said there was a very small 'caven' under the skin and so the new skin dropped into it and will need to now heal from the inside out....

It sounds like it should be ok ... maybe a side-effect from the infection?

Still, I'd take care to make sure you rest well, eat well etc. Call in any help/favours you can get to help with the kids, to ensure you get the chance to heal ...

Thanks NotQuiteCockney - I'll try to rest - but been resting for the last 7 weeks after section and infection - just got my walking legs back and really want to do stuff!! - But I will try to rest!

Good news the opening does not have infection in it. So hopefully will all be healed up before long x
