Hello,

My best friend's just had an Emergency C Section this evening. It's hit her a little hard as it would most women. She was completely prepared for a VB ie the usual things in the hospital bag.

Does anyone have any practical advice / tips ect for anything I can get her when I visit tomorrow that will help her?

I'm thinking feeding pillow to start so that she can comfortably hold baby.

Thanks

Really really big knickers is all I needed - and in the beginning have put a maternity pad across scar to cushion it.

Found feeding pillow very contraproductive for feeding, as got in the way of positioning properly.

Don't think I needed anything special for CS recovery.

Just lots of help. She may well be feeling wiped out for a while yet.

And when she gets home do not let her lift a finger if you go and visit!

I found the cs support belt really great after my 2nd emcs, think it's called theraline or similar, mothercare sell them.
