Normal post C-Sec?

Hi
I had an emlcs 18 weeks ago following failed induction at 38 weeks. I have pre-existing diabetes and stage 4 endometriosis which I've had 7 previous laparoscopic surgeries for, the last one 15 months ago (literally 7 weeks before falling pregnant...) C-sec wound didn't heal particularly well, is about 10-12 inches long hip to hip, crossed some prev scar tissue and had post-op infec, which due to diabetes was pretty hard to treat.

The scar itself isn't bad, still pretty numb, but for 3-4 inches above the wound it feels v painful and almost bruised. Can't wear jeans despite being back to pre-preg weight.

Is this normal or could it be becasue of previous surgeries? Just curious, don't know anyone else who had c-secs.

Thanks in advance :-) xxx

my emcs scar hurt for months and months afterwards. it's probably because they are a lot rougher than they would be in an elcs due to having to get the baby out quickly.
there is something called adhesions which it could be.

I'm not sure. I had pain and tenderness after both my sections, and even now (2 yrs since last section) it is still quite numb and prone to tenderness around ovulation and my period. But I never had any pain.

I would definitely go and get it checked out by your GP if I were you.

Thanks both for replying - have seen consultant and scar is hypertrophic which is why it's so painful - so at least have an answer :-)
