Well if your having constant backache thats how my first labour started. But however they did start to spread to the front and then become regular but this took a while. I suggest you ring your midwife or if not ring labour ward they are very helpful. They will ask you things over the phone and see if you need to come in for a check. They will prob ask if you have taken paracetamol? Are the contractions coming every 5 mins? and a load of other things just ring a phone call could put your mind at rest. Good Luck Smile

OOOhhh!!!

I've just had a call from my Dsis who's having niggles and pains too, since last night!

She was induced with her 1st so is marking every little twinge down so she can tell what's going on.

She's doing squats in the kitchen at every opportunity (kitchen floor is tiled, less to clean up if her waters go is her theory Wink)

Good luck, you could have a race with her, first past the post gets to cuddle the LO 1st Grin

sounds more like a UTI to me! Wink

i went to midwife yeaterday and she checked my urine and said it was normal i assume that they check for uti in that check but i may be wrong.

i told her about my backache and cramps and she sad to keep an eye on it and have a bath and give labour ward a call if it got worse.
