I had a EMCS 6 months ago and last night I got a pain just above my scar which stopped me in my tracks and double over, when the pain eased I felt around and just above the scar was a long swollen patch that was uncomfortable to touch but not painful as such. Then after 15 minutes or so gone and nothing sice.
Could it just be the ehaling process?

Should say I am also 15 weeks pregnant BlushI see the Consultant on Monday and I can't get hold of community midwife as I only have the doctors number (not seeing her till 28 weeks to get her mobile). Rang the ante natal clinic at the hospital and they just said if pain returns and is unbearable to ring again, if not make sure I tell Consultant about it on Monday.

Didn't want to read and run!
You are doing the right thing in seeing your GP.
Good luck and update later!

nunnie, if you've had an emcs (and only 6 months ago) you will have a lot of sensitive and scarred muscle and flesh. I have friends who this has happened to post emcs and while pregnant. It has never been anything worrying but more the stretching of the scar tissue.

You are doing the right thing getting checked out.

Have to go into hospital for blood tests and scans. Just waiting for my parents to get here to look after other two then off.

Had blood, urine sample and swabs taken, thinks the pain might have been scar tissue stretching or coming away andnothing to worry about. On examintation he found a guarded spot on my right side which he thinks might be due to infection, and on internal found raw trauma spot on cervix, which could be my biopsy from 2002 and without my main notes couldn't rule it out, said it could also be a sign of infection so took swabs incase.
Am to speak to my consultant who will have my notes on Monday at planned appointment, and he should be able to confirm if it was in the place where biopsy was taken or not.
