I'm 32 weeks so I know I need to start doing kegels more regularly but how do you know if you're doing them right? I know they tell you to squeeze like you're stopping a flow of pee, which is fine when you're actually peeing, but it seems like after a second or two I can't feel if the muscle is still contracted or not. am I doing them wrong? Any tips on how to be sure it's actually working? thanks :)

I find that it is easier to do them properly if you are sitting with legs spread open on a birthing ball.

You need to involve your bum with it too and feel the muscles tighten there too. I do ten short ones and then do one where I try and hold for 10 seconds. At first you can't tell if you really are holding it but the more you do it the more you can get to holding it for 10 seconds.
